Lulus.com - Befriend The Fringe dress review

I love the style from the 20's. The short and wavy hair styles, the dancing fringe on all the dresses. There was a certain classiness to it but yet a carefree feel as well. So when  I saw this Befriend the Fringe dress from Lulus.com, I had to try it! It almost seems to mix the 20's and 70's (?) together. I knew that the color might not be the best for me because I am so pale, but I just fell in love.

The dress itself was a tad bit big on the sides. So I needed to wait until my lovely sister could take it in for me. She did a great job, so thanks sis! After she did this, we took a 20's inspired photo shoot. He he.... I am not so comfortable with other people behind the camera. I can't do stupid poses and then delete without them seeing.

I would say that the size on this dress runs a little bit big. I fit in medium shirts but I definitely should have gone size small for this. I am going to use this dress a lot this summer. It is breathable, very comfortable and can be used as a dress, top or even a bathing suit cover. I love the low back and I can't wait for the warm weather to stay!

I went to go back to the site to tell you all how much you can get this dress for, but right after I got it, it went on sale and now it is gone! So if you see something you like, do NOT wait to get it. It may not be there when you go back to cash out. Here are a couple of other dresses I thought were cute (and some are on sale!)

Lulus.com offers way more than just cute dresses. Spring into style with their new additions. Did you see my review on their canvas tote bag? I have gotten so many compliments on it. I keep it right next to my dresser for an easy grab. Have you purchased something from Lulus? Let us know what you got and thought about it.

I received this product for the purpose of review. The opinions in this post are 100% my own and may differ from yours.

Blue Turtle Kids - review and giveaway

In my opinion, every kid (and adult for that matter) needs a couple good sets of pajamas. Heck maybe even one for every day of the week :) We love pajamas in this house hold. Noticing that The Gamer's night time attire was starting to have a high water effect on him, I started looking around for something that an older boy would like. He's too old for character sets, unless of course it was a wrestler or something and he is too young for anything suggestive (not that I would want him to wear that anyways) and we don't do skulls. While looking, I came across a really cute set from Blue Turtle Kids.

Blue Turtle Kids online boutique was started in 2002 as a way to showcase fun and colorful clothing from unique brand name vendors such as Mis-Tee-V-Us, Mulberribush, Wes and Willy, Skivvydoodles, Anita G and more. They wanted to provide boys and girls with comfortable cotton clothing that they loved to wear. I think they have done just that. The styles are definitely perfect for kids and yet they are stylish for the hip moms and dads who want that great look for their kids. Let's just say... NOT the department store specials.

We got the blue Grumpy lounge wear set in size 10/12. Gamer loved it. I thought it was perfect because it is stylish and we love flannel and even though it has a (care bear) theme to it SHHHHH he thought it was just the term Grumpy which he knows he is a lot lol. It fits well to his personality. I asked him what he liked about it and he said: "They are nice and warm and comfy and I love the design. It makes me laugh cause it says Grumpy" If you order one of these sets and you are unsure about the sizing, I would order a size up. I would rather have something slightly bigger than too snug. The pants fit perfectly, and he is a little on the short side. He usually wears 10/12 in shirts and pants. However the shirt in this set ran small. He still loves it and it fits well as long as he has no other shirts underneath. But now that I know the sizes, I should have gone with a youth large. So if your child is a little on the husky side or taller, I would suggest going up.

It is made out of super soft cotton and is a great contrast with the royal blue and blue flannel. It is sold exclusively at Blue Turtle Kids, so you will NO find this anywhere else. Right now, they actually have this set on sale for $34.00 (marked down from $78) I know what you are thinking... I wouldn't pay full price either. But $34.00 is a great deal because I can tell you this set will last all 3 of my boys as long as they don't get ink or something on it. It is very well made, super comfortable and is a very universal and great design. Looking at it this way, it is WELL worth the money.

Blue Turtle Kids offers clothing for boys and girls from infant sizes to size 14. If you don't like to have your child match half the class and love unique but stylish clothing, add this great online boutique to the list of your shopping destinations. The shipping fast and reliable and you will not be disappointed!
