Sexy Costume Discounters - Witchy Shoe review

Halloween can be really fun but also quite stressful on the wallet. For the ones that really love to get into the whole dressing up of it all, it may be best to kind of keep that idea of what this years costumes are going to be and get some through the year. I usually do reviews on the costumes itself but for this post, I am going to be talking about the accessories. More specifically Witchy Shoes! (By the way, like the above picture? I laugh because I took the picture.... which means those are not my feet hehehe....) My poor boys!! LOL

Hopefully, I will be dressing up as the Wicked Witch from Wizard of Oz this year. I found the perfect shoes to give my Witch character some oomph. I love the outdated shoes as much as the next person but this pair gives me just the right amount of sexiness to make it fun. The pointed heel tops and the buckles are perfect.

I'm not a person that wears high heels a lot, so that is taking me some getting used to , but I will say that if you order these shoes for your costume and you are unsure of the size.. keep in mind the toes. Because, the shoes get very narrow where you see the point. You may want to go up a size if you are a 1/2 or don't want them to cramp your feet. I am usually fine in 7's but the toes cramp my feet a little. I am trying to break the toes in to see if I can get a little more room. However, you can always return them if the size is wrong.

At Sexy Costume Discounters,  you can get just that.... discounted sexy costumes and lots of  accessories. These particular shoes go for $29.99. I haven't even worn them yet, but I have been asked where I got them by two different people. You will see these shoes again when I come back on here with our Wizard of Oz group costumes. I can't wait to show you all the finished group! Until then, if you have a costume party with co-workers or summer fun planned, give Sexy Costume Discounters a try for all your costume and accessory needs. Dress up never dies!

I received this product for the purpose of review. The opinions in this post are 100% my own and may differ from yours.

Fleece Dawgs from @DAWGS Footwear review and giveaway!

Let me start off by saying I cannot complain.  I do not like cold weather and this winter has been very mild.  So with hopes of spring coming early this year, I am getting anxious to pack up all the winter gear and put it in storage.  This means that I will need to get all my spring attire out and think about getting some new shoes. Dawgs Footwear has some great options.

Dawgs Footwear allowed me to review a pair of their Fleece Dawgs.  I really liked the color selection and the fleece adds, not only warmth, but also just a tad bit more style.  I've been wearing these dawgs ever since I received them.  They are that comfortable to wear.  I love that I can just slip them on and run out the door.  They have their logo on buttons decorating each side of the dawg and in the back they have their name embroidered.  Since I've been wearing these pretty much every day, they were starting to look a little dirty. I tried these in a gentle wash cycle and I don't suggest doing that. I would hand wash and air dry.

Now let's get into the nitty gritty of the pros and cons.  I mentioned above that they're very comfortable and they are.  They are also an easy option to throw on and look great doing it.  I think the design is cute and I love their logo but to be honest, I do have a few concerns.  I wonder how long the fleece will last and how quick it will become dingy looking. (Update) I was given a link to a video by DAWGS Footwear to show you how you remove the fleece. Just be careful when you do so you are so forceful that you pop the rivet top off. Just stretch the rubber band that is attached to the fleece over the rivet and (my suggestion) hand wash. Watch the video below to see them take the fleece off.

As far as the sizes go, they were spot on. If you like them roomy then you may want to go up a size but if you like them fit and comfortable (but not cramped) you can rely on their charts.  I may just need to get my boys a pair. This would be right up their alley if I got the in black :) Overall, if I was to give these a star rating, it would give these a 4.5.

These Dawgs go for $30.00 and you get free shipping to Canada or the United States.  Also, get an additional 10% off when you join their club! That drops these shoes down to $27 shipped to your door. There are six different colors to choose from and are offered to men, babies, and youth as well.  Their children's line is ADORABLE.  It almost makes me wish that I had a small baby again.  Almost.  You can buy these shoes along with many other things, such as safety boots, Sheep Dawgs and much more. Their safety shoes/boots look fantastic! Dawgs Footwear really wants you to try their shoes, so they are going to give one of you lucky readers a pair of Fleece Dawgs for you to try for free!  Just use the rafflecopter below to enter and good luck!

Footgol (athletic shoes) - review and giveaway! ($59.99 value)

Spaz just turned 6 in August and he has decided that he would love to check out soccer. This is great since he has tons of energy and I never thought he would like sports. He's more of a bookworm but he needs to release that energy! I have gotten him a few things so he can start practicing such as cleats, a soccer ball and some cones for the yard. However, the cleats are not really needed right now. We had the pleasure of reviewing Footgol athletic shoes (as seen on Nicktoons) that were perfect for what we needed. These shoes had soccer in mind since they were designed to help kids have fun when kicking the ball. It is the first time that micro spring polymers have been used in footwear. Micro spring polymers have the ability to contract and expand like you wouldn't believe which gives them a great memory effect.

After I read about them and saw their pictures, I knew that Spaz would probably love them. They seemed like they would be fun with all the 'bumps' and maybe even a little bouncy. We received Model F10103, the black and red ones, since red is his favorite color :) The moment he tried them on he had a big ol' smile on his face. They fit like a glove, which he really liked, and he spent the next 20 minutes sliding across our kitchen floor. When we went to go get his father from work, they were the first thing he showed when he got in the car. Now that we have had them for a few weeks, he scowls at me if I try to put his Airwalks on for school, so I have finally just set them aside for play shoes.

He says that they are really fun to wear and he especially loved sliding on the kitchen floor (not that they slide now :) There are currently 4 styles to choose from. All of them have a unique velcro enclosure to match the rest of the unique look that Footgol shoes have. No more needing to do Spaz's shoes for him cause he can do it all on his own. (Yes, I know that this will set him back in tying but he sooo loves his Foogol shoes).

The wonderful people at Footgol want you to try them out for yourselves, so they are giving one of you Inspire readers a pair for free. Just use the rafflecopter below to enter and good luck! These will make a great gift under that tree :)

Make sure you like their page and their sister page ( Cienta Shoes) because they are constantly giving away pairs of shoes. Their next goal is 1000 likes and they will give away 10 pairs of Cienta Shoes! Please tell them I said hey ;)
