Let me just say that I was afraid that this book would be a over my head, full of historical facts and maybe a little on the boring side. I couldn't of been anymore wrong. Pastor Bryant Wright wrote a fabulous book telling us how the three major religions (Christianity, Muslim, and Judaism) came to be, and explains the true conflict in the middle east.
Not only does Pastor Bryant have a great sense of humor that makes the book an easy read, but he also has a way to make you feel like you are just sitting down in a room with him while he casually tells you the reasons. This really helped me, not only understand what he was saying, but also to remember what I read. He repeats things he found important and put an emphasis on common threads to show how prophecy was fulfilled.
Another great detail he added was to use examples we can all understand to show us what was the feeling going on back then. This helped with knowing why there was such anger for certain people and it shows the gray instead of just seeing the black and white we sometimes see today. I do not want to go into a lot of detail because I really hope at least some of you give this book a chance. The famous saying goes: "Do not judge a book by it's cover" and I think that fits here. This book is not what you expect. I really enjoyed reading it and I learned quite a bit. This will be yet another book that I recommend and pass on.
