Are you tired of running out for laundry soap every other thing? Are you spending too much money on it? Do you love the way the dryer sheets make your clothes but hate knowing they all end up in land fills or oceans? What about allergies? Do you have sensitive skin and can only get select few detergents? Then I have an idea for you... try the Fat Cat Green Eco laundry and dryer balls. These eco balls are safe in every way. The balls unleash ionic cleaning power to naturally and gently clean laundry without harsh chemicals. They are foamless, reusable, detergent-free, soap free, and no phosphorus, boron, ABS, LAS or SAS. They are hypoallergenic for sensitive skin and safe for infant and children's clothes. You can use them on delicate fabrics and they don't leave a soapy film. With antibacterial properties you can feel safe with using this on your little ones.
Here is how easy it is to use them:
First you place your load in the washer without overloading it. Use 1 Eco laundry ball for small loads, 2 for medium and 3 for large loads or hard water. Use the stain remover they provide before washing on those stubborn spots. Select your temp and cycle and viola! Start your load. When the load is done, simply take the balls out and set in the sun to start preparing for the next use. Honestly .. I just set them on my washer and threw them in the next load. Seemed to be fine.
The dryer balls I am in love with. These balls look like dog toys to be honest with you, but they lift and separate your clothes to make them fluffy. It also eliminates your drying time up to 25%. Which I can definitely confirm this because my dryer hasn't been drying as good lately because my kids have bent a hinge on the door. My husband has not got around to fixing it yet. This has definitely made a difference in the length of a drying load. I usually have to put it on the largest setting and then add extra times for heavier things. But these dryer balls have definitely been cutting that time down. Since I have had them I have not had to put more time on at all. And the clothes are really really soft. I love that. I will not be without dryer balls from now on!
So, in my opinion...the pros and the cons.
Pros first.... I love that there is no pouring and clutter of soaps. I like not having to buy detergent all the time.
They seem like they are really going to last a long time.
I love that they are green (and by that I mean eco friendly...they are green but I don't care about the color)
I love that it is safe for infant clothes and sensitive skin.
Cons are two things for me.... although they don't leave your clothes smelling bad by any means... they definitely don't have the linen fresh scent I am used to either. Although the fragrance is probably some of the chemicals .. I like the nice smell.
I also don't recommend using these on heavily soiled items. They don't seem to hold up to the strong detergents with real dirty things. I have 3 boys ... I tested it out. But for normal everyday use it really does seem to work well and it makes you feel good for using something that helps out the environment.
These balls are sold in a kit with everything you see above at Stuff Junction. As you can see from the site, this kit includes the 3 laundry balls already filled with the pellets, 2 dryer balls, 3 refill packets of pellets and 1 stain removal stick. This is being sold for $49.95 marked down from retail. Fat Cat Green wants to let one of you try this kit for free!
