Right now with being unemployed and really feeling the heat to get a job, I have never been so compelled to go back to school. The last week or so I can't even sleep. Unfortunately, I did not make the smartest choices when I was in high school and so I don't have the education to land me a decent job. My husband's back is out, so I am really stressing out. Even if I decide to go back to school, I have no idea what I would go for. I have lots of interests. It's not that I don't know what I would like to do, but you also need to think about the area you live in. Is the job I am going for going to be in high demand? I need to know that I can get hired with the degree I get. It is really overwhelming with the worries I have at times.
Now, say I have that figured out. Where would I go to school having 3 boys and a husband who is hurt? College is going to be expensive, especially the ones around here. Getting online and searching out online schooling is a horrible task too. You don't know which ones will be a good credential and usually you get bombarded with calls from schools you never wanted to talk to! Well, I have found a few things about Walden University that may make things easier.
WaldenU.edu stands out for a few reasons. There site is nicely done and easy to navigate. They don't hound you for your information before you can look at their courses, in fact you can skip that bull and call them directly yourselves. When you look into sites you want to make sure that the degree you get from them (especially when acquired online will do you some good) so I look for testimonials or being linked to people/ places you trust. Former president, Bill Clinton, will be speaking at the graduation this year. That's exciting!
Walden University's online degree programs ranges from teacher's preparation to master's degrees. They have all sorts of resources for you to look into financial help, scholarships and payments. They have personal advisers and career services (which is probably something I would be looking into... I just really don't know what I would want to do that is in high demand around here. I'm living in the wrong state for that!)
If you are looking into going back to school, or have a child that is getting ready for college, give their site a chance and learn about Walden.
