Clocky - from Urban Child, the coolest alarm clock ever!!

   I knew we would love Clocky if he actually did what his package says he does. What I wasn't expecting was how much everyone was going to love him. The boys have no motivation to get up in the morning for school unless there is a special activity happening that day. While cruising around online, I found a very unique, yet great, idea that I just had to check out.

    Clocky is a futuristic alarm clock that is done in 5 different colors with an lcd display. When his snooze button is pushed he will give you the allotted time that you chose for catching those extra zzzz's but then he will go nuts. He will spin and flash his lcd light and go hiding from you to get you out of bed and wake you up.

   I thought this was such a great idea, but when we tried him out and the alarm went off, he sounded like a hyped up R2D2 from Star Wars lol. The kids loved it! The alarm sound is cute at first and I have to admit, it will definitely get us out of bed, because you want him to go nuts for long. He may be fun to watch but there is no mute option lol.
   I have included a video below (sorry for the darkness) so you can see how cool he is. You can see that when he hits the toddler bed he does it a couple times, then he will go a different way. I like it when he spins.

   Now I will say... get good batteries. Don't try to go the cheap route with Clocky cause he will suck the battery power up pretty quick. I would go with a trusted brand, a lithium battery or rechargeable ones. You can buy Clocky from Urban Child online for $50 and you can get him in black, white, aqua, red or chrome.    Clocky has become a character of the house that we have adapted to quite quickly. The kids are getting out of bed looking for Clocky when he calls out and everytime they hear him, they go running in his direction. We love our new alarm clock!
