Designerliners are stylish, colorful, and biodegradable bags that will dress up any mess and are made in the USA. With 10 different patterns and the option of custom liners with your logo, it won't be hard to beautify any room. You can give them out as parting gifts for eco friendly events, or even as an added item to a house warming gift.
We received a package of Designerliners in the Red Toile. I loved the design and thought they were definitely thick enough. With the pattern, no trash was seen when they got tied. The bags were a little large for our waste basket but honestly my waste basket is a little small and eventually we are going to get one that matches all the others in stainless steel anyways. The package has 12 bags in them. They are white on the outside and the pattern is on the inside, so when you place them in your waste basket the pattern is all you see. They are 100% biodegradable, which I think is fantastic! They are also recyclable. They require no heat, light or mechanical stress to break down. In 9 months -5 years , these bags will be gone without a trace. What a great step in the right direction!
There were a few things I found that could make these better in my opinion. I am ok with paying $6.00 for 12 bags when I know they are great for the environment and look as well as they do. However, if I am paying that much, I want the most for my money. I feel it is a waste of the bag tying it the way it requires. There are no tabs or drawstring which makes it so you are grabbing the sides and tying it that way. I think if they made them cinched or provided tabs for tying, we could fit more in them and save more that way. The only other thing I could say anything about was that I had to take all the bags apart to get one out. That is kind of annoying. Not a deciding factor of course, just inconvenient.
So here are my pros and cons...
Pros:
Designerliners are completely biodegradable.
They are made in the USA!
They look great! I love the orange polka dot ones.
They are strong and work great.
They are affordable ( Especially when you are talking about knowing they will not be lying around somewhere in 5 years. They will be completely broke down.)
They are recyclable.
Cons:
Would be better if they were cinched or had tabs to make it easy for tying. Right now I feel too much of the bag gets wasted the way they are.
Would be better if they were in a tissue like box to be able to pull them out. This doesn't at all take away from the bags, would just be more convenient.
Overall, I love the idea of them and I think they look great! I can't wait to see what other designs they come up with. Would you like to see how you like them for free? Well now is your chance to win a package. Use the rafflecopter below to enter. Good luck!
