With a background story as unique as their designs, Earth Creations has quickly jumped into the spotlight for me. As you have been reading lately, I really have been trying to be better with going green and taking more care. So when I came across EC, I was super excited. Let me tell you a little about the background first.
Born from a simple bike ride and made in the USA , Earth Creations was the result of getting red Alabama dirt all over a shirt. With the stubborn stains not coming out, the potential for dye was noticed. With nature being their biggest inspiration and protecting the earth their biggest passion, Earth Creations is gaining attention.
Martin sent us a couple great youth tees to review and we chose the 'You Otter Recycle' in size 4 and the 'Touch The Earth Gently' in size 5/6. They got here right away and were safely packaged. They let me know that these shirts fit like a glove with the sizing and grading so that they look great on kids. I completely agree that these shirts look great and I love love love the natural colors and how comfy they feel. However, the 'fit like a glove' IS true if you go down in sizes to what you are used to. I should have ordered a 2/3t for my almost 4 year old and a size 4 for my 6 year old. Granted, I have a tiny 6 year old. He is the same weight as his 3 (almost) 4 year old brother, but still.. I just want to warn you that they run larger in sizes. Just get out your measuring tape and check their sizing chart. (In the pictures, my 6 year old is wearing both sizes to give you an idea) Keeping this in mind, don't let this deter you from ordering! These shirts are fantastic! (My 6 year old is wearing both sizes to give you an idea)
They are 100% organic cotton and dyed with clay. They feel like your favorite worn tee straight out of the box. I can't help but smile with the 'You Otter Recycle' tee. It is such a cute idea. I love it. The 'Touch The Earth Gently' is a more grown up like approach to reminding us to be good to the earth, which is why I like it for the older kids. It is a funky but classy design. Other designs that Earth Creations offer include an Alabama Dirt shirt (to boast of their beginnings), a dancing penguin that says "Be nice, don't pollute my ice!" , an owl that says "Give a Hoot" and many more. All the youth tees are unisex and would look great on any child.
They also have a great selection for men, women, and babies too. Check out this great Sadie Top or the hemp snappies for babies.
EC tries to make sure that the colors they use are going to be consistent so each batch is as uniform as they can get. Here is a color chart of all the colors they have come up with from finding it in clay or getting samples sent to them. It's amazing how many colors are extracted from just clay! Not only do I love that I have a great site to order staple tees from but I am also inspired to experiment for craft ideas with the kids!
I can't think of anyone that I know that wouldn't love something from Earth Creations as a gift! What design do you like?

I received this product for the purpose of review. The opinions in this post are 100% my own and may differ from yours.
