I have a long way to go when it comes to learning the ins and outs of what is green and can be recycled. I am getting there and will continue learning more and more as time goes on. I find it very important for us to be conscience of what we are doing to our God given Earth. We are supposed to take care of it. Not only for the animals, or to keep its beauty (although those are big reasons!) but also for our health! We won't be the ones seeing the damage we have reeked on future generations. It will be our kids or their kids that reap the burdens we are laying down now.
So I for one, am trying to put more focus on what it safe and can be reused. I have added a new eco friendly page to the site so you can find companies that I have worked with that share these goals. For our review, we received the Recycled Rice Sack Messenger Bag in Galaxy from Rebagz. Marty Stevens-Heebner, the creator of Rebagz, got the idea for her handbag line during a trip to the Philippines. She found a woman that used juice pouches and made fantastic things out of them. Noticing that the Philippines rice sacks had colorful graphics as well, she designed the wonderful messenger bags.
These bags have an adjustable strap, side pockets, a back flap pocket, a zippered pocket in the flap and 3 more pockets inside. Made from recycled rice sacks with that colorful graphic (in my case the galaxy) already printed on it.

If you are not crazy about the Galaxy image, that is ok because they come in 13 other designs. I personally like the Best Mill one. That one looks like a rice bag which I like.
My thoughts?
I think if this was a tad bit bigger it would make a great laptop bag for a teen boy. I tried to fit my laptop in it and it was a little small. However, my laptop is quite wide. There are definitely plenty of pockets and has places to put your pens. I like that it has a different material on the inside and the adjustable strap is definitely sturdy enough.
I also love that it is made out of recycled rice bags and is very easy to care for. But, you know what I love more?....
These purses and bags made from recycled seatbelts! How cool are they?? The orange and blue would be great for us because those are the Bronco colors. We could use it for all sorts of things and sport my husbands team while being stylish and eco friendly.
