#Kaijudo : Rise Of The Duel Masters Viewing Party!

For the first time, my family and I were chosen to be a host by Mommy Parties to throw a Kaijudo: Rise Of The Duel Masters party which couldn't be any more fitting for my family of 3 boys, our nieces and neighbors. MommyParties sent us a great package consisting of an early screening of  of Kaijudo Rise of the Duel Masters on DVD, Kaijudo headbands, a poster signed by the makers and a packet with party ideas, recipes and some background information on the show and what its about.

"Kaijudo:Rise Of The Duel Masters" is an animated action-fantasy series that follows the adventures of a young hero, Ray, who possesses the rare ability to befriend and duel alongside fantastical creatures from a parallel dimension. Evil forces would have these creatures tamed and enslaved, so Ray and his two best friends must join the ranks of the mysterious Duel Masters to ensure the survival of both races before it is too late.

I can already tell this show will be a big hit in my family. We all loved another certain action-fantasy similar to this one that ended not too long ago and it was a family event. This is starting out to be the same way. Even though it is a cartoon, you can tell that there will be enough layers for the adults to get into too.

For our party, we had a mixture of events going on. We wore our headbands, had burgers and chips and some punch. Then we watched the show. I actually got right into it with them that I forgot to snap pictures during the viewing. Woops!

The younger ones gave me some hassle when I told them we were going to watch it but it only took a minute or so for them to sit down and and have their eyes glued. The characters are very likable and the colors drew the kids in. The animals are definitely a highlight as well. I asked the kids a few questions and here are their replies:

*What do you like about it? "I like the creatures and how the glove controls them."
*Who is your favorite character? "Ray!" (from all the boys)
*Why Ray? "He seems really cool and has the best monster. I want his hair" "I like how he uses the glove."
*Do you think you will like this as much as ***** (our last show?) "Yea! This show is cool!"

Kaijudo premiered on June 2nd and airs on Saturdays at 8pm eastern time on The Hub TV Network.
