Wow, what timing! I have been anxious to check out a Fedco tree sale ever since they put a new warehouse in my town. I have heard you can get berry bushes and apple trees at great prices when they have their leftover sales. I saw the sign today, grabbed my mother and checked it out. They had aisles of bulbs and seeds in a penny candy fashion where you just pick your seeds, write the quantity and price on your bags and go. I was dying to see if they had any lilac bushes since I am obsessed with the flower. Alas, it is obviously the wrong time of year. No harm in checking though right? I found out I can pre-order them and pick them up at the next sale though. So now I have 3 bags of bulbs and not a clue on what to do with them. I live on really rocky/gravel/sandy soil and it seems that bulbs are the only plant that loves me here. I need help. Here are a couple of ireses I picked... (left to right) a japanese iris called Geisha Girl and a german bearded iris known as Superstition.

I needed a garden guru and now we all have one at our disposal.
