ReUsies~ reusable sandwich/snack bags #review and #giveaway!

Now that my youngest son is in Kindergarten, I need to go back to square and remind him on a daily basis to bring stuff back home and wear a jacket so he don't catch a cold. Even though he is number 3 and I should have it all down pat by now, there are things that squeak through the cracks such as having to wash his backpack out because he stepped on his bag that contained his lunch that included a banana. His banana got squished and filled the pocket with a nasty goop, which we all know. is a blast to clean out. With my attempts to be more environmentally friendly, I like to use either the brown paper bags (which does nothing for goopy messes) or durable reusable bags. I tried out the 2 pack that contains a large and small snack bag. I love the sizes because they aren't too small. A lot of other bags I have gotten have been just large enough to put the sandwich in and the smaller ones are usually a great size for toddlers but won't hold a decent sized snack, so they are not feasible for the older kids. I have an 11 year old boy... enough said on that! Haha.

ReUsies are 100% cotton lined with leak-resistant nylon and are secured with hook and loop closures. They are easy to clean either by hand, dishwasher, or washer and dryer. They are certainly food safe and come in a variety of prints for any member of the household. By using these, I can eliminate hundreds of plastic baggies and that makes me feel great!

ReUsies feature a velco strip on the backside so you can easily fold the flap back and attach it for washing. It is suggested to do this so you don't risk the chance of the velcro wearing out and not working as well. The set shown in here is the retro oval. I love the pattern but they have so much more to choose from too. Some of them even have a convenient spot to write your child's name on it, not that school is the only place to use these. I would certainly bring these to work with me now that I am going back into the working field.
