The easiest way to bring classy style on the holidays with Hammacher Schlemmer!

Disclosure: Due to a loss of a family member this Christmas, I have not been online to fulfill my obligations with reviews and articles on this blog. Please accept my apologies and expect these articles to be posted shortly.

I've always been a fan of Christmas.  I could play Christmas music all year round.  I love to get into the Christmas mood with making decorations and gifts.  This year our house was a little bit more festive with our huge paper snowflakes hanging from our ceiling and the 6 foot Thomas Kinkade pop up tree from Hammacher Schlemmer. I've been looking at these pop up trees for a while now and have been extremely curious about them.  Watching videos featuring these trees, it just seemed a little too easy.  I thought they were going to be cheesy looking in person and not be as easy to setup as it seemed.  Surprisingly, this is not the case!

The tree arrived in a very timely fashion and was in a box that was sqare box measuring about 3 feet on all sides and only a few inches thick.

When you open the box the tree is flattened down to a circle and included are the rods and stand. The easiest way to put it together is to put the stand down first with one of the sections of rod installed. Then you slip the tree over and put the rod through the center. After you just add the remaining sections of rod and pull the top of the tree up.

The tree top has its own section of rod that attaches to ones you erected. It really couldn't be any more simple. The only part of the tree you may have to mess with a little is the top where the bow is. This may have been slightly bent while shipped out. I just straightened it out a little.

The tree is fully lit with elegant white lights and adorable corresponding ornaments. Runng down the length of the tree are beautiful Thomas Kinkade ribbons featuring his art. What a perfect artist to adorn the tree with since the "painter of light" can really capture the essense of winter and that special Christmas and homey feeling.

I got so many compliments on this tree while we had it up and all agreed that it was quite stylish and loved the simplicity of its setup. One person in particular was quite interested because her kids are all grown up and all live out of state. The only person to decorate for is herself and her husband (who is ill quite often and don't leave his room much). She loves Christmas and having her house decorated but is not up for the set up of the tree and decorating it for what seems like just herself to enjoy. This is the perfect solution for her. It takes up very little space when packed and all set up. This was good for us also since we live in a mobile home. Just in case you were wondering, you can add your own special ornaments to it as well. It doesn't have the boughs that most fake trees do, it is more of a swirled garland... but it is durable and you can hang other itmes on them. I added ornaments my kids made this year in school and all the cards we got from family and friends. This year, with how this holiday turned out to be, it was really nice to come home and not have the huge fuss of breaking down the tree. We had a lot going on with a family loss and a messy chaos leftover from our family gathering.
