Book Description:
Moms, are you struggling with patience? Worrying about your children’s spiritual development? Concerned about their social or behavioral issues? Wondering how to get it all done when there’s just never enough time?
Author Marla Alupoaicei knows that today’s Christian moms want to be the parents God intended. They desire to pray boldly and stand in the gap for their kids. But many mothers haven’t been equipped with the prayer skills, scriptural knowledge, and practical strategies to fight the spiritual battle for themselves and their children.
My thoughts:
As a parent of 3 boys, I worry about soooooooo many things, especially with things I see on a regular basis in this world we live in. People have left common sense in the past along with maturity, morals and values. I am kept awake a lot at night with anxiety of things that may come and how I feel that I fall short of what my boys need to be a gentleman of faith today. It is going to be even more tough when they are adults. So what's the biggest way to fight the insecurities and be the best for your kids? To become a prayer warrior mom!
What's funny about this book becoming available on Booksneeze when it did, is that my church just completed a series on drawing prayer circles. The sermons inspired me to start a prayer journal and start keeping track of my prayers and documenting when and how they are answered. This book couldn't be a better companion for this! With each daily devotion, there is a perfect dose of scripture and questions that can be used for personal reflection or in a group discussion setting like a small group through your church.
With everything going on in my life and feeding I have been receiving from my church, I truly believe that God has really been hearing me and put this book in my path for a reason. I found it to be such a blessing and I plan on either reading it again or passing it on to someone else who may just need the uplifting like I did. If nothing else, it will be a great addition to the church library to have available. I am usually so-so when it comes to daily devotionals but I enjoyed this one tremendously.
