Kathryn The Grape book review
I love to read and I really want my kids to love it too. About once a week we have relaxing nights and listen to Mama read stories for each childs age group while enjoying a hot chocolate. Lately the hot chocolate has french vanilla marshmallow snowmen floating in them.....mmmmmm. Anyways, I had the opportunity to review Kathryn The Grape by Kathryn Cloward. My boys all to willing to have different reading material (we go through it quickly), seemed to be ok with me reading this book to them..even if it did look girly lol.
The colors were energetic. This would of been a book I read several times being younger. It is about a girl who has a magic wand and a magical butterfly friend who helps her learn how to use the wand. This wand helps Kathryn to overcome obstacles and believe in herself.
Parents you know where this is going and probably know the ending, but you're kids, especially daughters will love this book. It's a simple message with simple reading so toddlers (at least my 3 year old) understood it fine, and like I said before...how could you not like the pictures? Overall, I think this was a very cute and charming little story. The only suggestion I could really make that may make this better for the kiddies, is to have it come with a toy wand that looks like Kathryn's. Go here to read more about the book and the people who were involved in making it or ...
You can find Kathryn The Grape on Facebook and twitter, and
Kathryn Cloward, the author, is also on Facebook and twitter.
