The battle between parents and kids for the right to eat sweets is ongoing isn't it? That's why when parents find something that fits in both categories, we jump for joy! There is nothing better then finding a food that is both healthy and pleasing to the child's taste. Well, let me add a product that falls in both categories.... Surf Sweets! The boys and I had a chance to review some samples of their all natural candy, and let's just say it was definitley a hit!
Surf Sweets are made with organic fruit juice and sweeteners. They are free of artificial colors and flavors and they are the only candies that are made WITHOUT corn syrup! These candies also contain antioxidant Vitamin C (no need to explain how great that is!) and are even great for the people with food allergies and intolerances. They are gluten-free, casein-free and made in a facility free of the ten most common allergens (example: peanuts) There are even vegan and vegetarian varieties, and they are proudly made in the US of A :) I am really stoked for this because they are not only really safe but also great tasting.
We had the chance to try out their Jelly Beans, Sour Berry Bears, Gummy Swirls, and Gummy bears. My personal favorite were the Jelly Beans. Those were delicious! I mean they are right up there with Jelly Belly.. and I love Jelly Belly! The kids agreed but they also really liked the Gummy Swirls. The gummy bears were a little tough, but none of the candy lasted long. The kids loved them. It's one thing for the kids to like them but another for me not to see the difference. Surf Sweets are sold at most natural food retailers and can also be found at Hannaford. I will be on the lookout and grab more of the Jelly Beans and Swirls. Here is the list of stores you can find them at. These are great tasting / all natural candies, your kids will never know they are healthy and that they are getting vitamin c!
