:::Boiron Arnicare Arnica Gel - a review and giveaway:::

   Anyone who has kids know that bruises can come at any time and take a while to go away. Mine tend to get them all together in the same time period to give outsiders the impression we beat our kids. It is never fun bringing your kids out after they bonked noggins and have that great big yellowing bruise in the middle of their foreheads. Luckily there is a gel out there that will help diminish the discoloration from bruising. Anicare Anica gel is used for the relief of muscle aches and stiffness due to minor injuries, overexertion and falls. It also reduces pain and swelling. This is highly excepted for kids instead of the dreaded ice ( even though we all know it works) You just apply a thin layer of Arnicare Gel to the affected area as soon as possible after the minor injury. Repeat 3 times daily or as needed.  Within a couple days your swelling, pain and discoloration should be drastically different or gone. 

      This gel is also great for outside work. We are all getting outside now after a long winter, which means a lot of cleaning, bending over clearing flower beds and paths, and lifting things. This can be great for your yard but hard on your back and arms. Rub a little Arnicare gel on your sore knots and feel some relief. 

     Arnicare gel is made from Boiron, world leader in homeopathy. The active ingredient is Arnica montana, a mountain plant from the daisy family, whose healing properties have been used for centuries. The inactive ingredients include alcohol, carbomer, dimethicone copolyol, purified water, and sodium hydroxide. Arnicare Gel is recommended by doctors, plastic surgeons and pharmacists and is used by professional athletes. It has a nice cooling effect, fast pain relief, it's non-greasy and quickly absorbed.
Warnings: 
     This product is for external use only. Avoid contact with eyes and with open wounds. Stop use and ask a doctor if condition persists for more than 3 days or worsens. Keep out of reach of children. If swallowed, get medical help or contact a Poison Control Center immediately. Do not use if glued carton end flaps are open or if the tube seal is broken. 

My thoughts:

I love having it around with my active boys, they hate putting ice on their bumps and bruises. I love how it has that cooling effect and I put a big glob on my arm and it rubbed in and absorbed nicely with no greasy feel. That is a huge plus! You can't even feel that you have put it on except for the lingering cool, relaxing effect. I currently don't have any big bumps or bruises to rub it on, however, I rubbed it on my husbands back for a massage since he has always had back problems from heavy lifting. Not only did he feel much better after ( this can be partly due to any massage relaxing the muscles) but the cooling is nice because he is also a guy that gets overheated easily. I am the opposite... he keeps the heat low, I like to crank it up. I will update as soon as there is a bruise to put it on to let you all know how it works on the discoloration. As for everything else, two thumbs up. I can't stress enough how nice it is to have something to rub on aches and pains that does not leave a greasy feeling.
