So we got our car and put it on the road yesterday and fully took advantage of it today. This year brought on a big case of being stir crazy and without a vehicle for so long did not help! Today we took the boys to a beautiful park named Field of Dreams and had a blast. This park is perfect and has a little bit of everything.
We brought bikes but they actually weren't allowed in the park. Which kind of stunk because they have a great walking path that goes all the way around through covered bridges and under trees. This is going to be a popular spot for us. We came across this gem last year while we were just driving around. I am so glad we did.
There is a great play park with swings, sand, slides and more. This is where the boys went first. They also have a great area down a slope where you can go wading in the huge 'pond'. It is more like a lake and it was perfect. The boys skipped rocks and got themselves all wet. The water was great. Technically I don't think they want people swimming there, but there is no rules against it and it was a great spot for it. We watched eagles fishing and took some great pics.
The park also has every sport field you could want. I saw a basketball court, baseball field and one for soccer. We still have not explored all the area yet. After we got done playing in the water and doing some sports, we enjoyed an ice cream at a shop just down the road. Then we drove home to more outdoors playing and then they were dropping like flies in lullaby land.
Tomorrow I shall get cracking on much needed blog work. Honestly I have just needed a break and the boys needed good play time.
