I like to stay active and do things outdoors with the kids, such as parks and swimming, but the past couple weeks have been over the top hot. Now, I am not complaining. Lord knows there are enough people complaining about it. However I make stupid mistakes such as only drinking coffee and and not hydrating myself with water during the day, especially when I am outside doing things. The last time I went to the park with the boys with an iced coffee in hand, I wound up laying in bed the next days sick. I want to be active. I want to be one of those people that may take the kids and dogs for walks in the early morning. I do love the morning even though it doesn't seem to like me much. So while perusing online, I came across a great company known as FuelBelt.
For those of you who are not familiar they are a company that are known for the world's #1 hydration belt. What is that? It is like wearing a fanny pack but way more functional. It holds 2-4 water bottles and has 1 or 2 small pouches for an ipod, cash etc. They come in all sorts of great styles and colors. I love the Revenge series in which FuelBelt gave me one to try! This series is their newest line with easier one handed entry and exit. It is super light and very comfortable. It holds 2 seven ounce water bottles and has a small pouch with a reflective logo. Another reflective logo is on the back. The color choices (which I love) were inspired by some of our greatest endurance athletes of our time, including Terenzo Bozzone, Craig Alexander and Chrissie Wellington.
I chose the Arctic Blue and the first thing I noticed about this belt is the stylish design with the color just popping out on it. I really love the looks. Next thing I noticed was that it definitely was comfortable and even with the bottles full it was quite light. This would definitely be easy carrying around while hiking or jogging. It has plenty of reflective ribbing and two reflective logos so you can be seen easier by cars at night or very early morning. I love that feature too. I'm super happy to use this belt while walking trails with the kids. I can carry drinks for the boys and still carry my three year old without having my arms overloaded with cups and what have you.
You can get this belt in either a custom size of (S, M, or L) or you can get it in a one size fits all. It seems plenty durable and breathable to me. I have been bending the molded holsters all over the place. This may not be recommended but I see where there is plenty of give to them and so I feel they are quite durable as well (which is weird because it is so thin and bendy).
Want to hear something awesome? Not only are the bottles BPA free and fit perfectly in your hand, but they are also recyclable plastic (LDPA no 4.) Do you jog a lot? Are you an endurance athlete? Maybe you just do walking trails or hike quite a bit...
Why not buy the FuelBelt where they are already a leader in the hydration belts but also have the environment a priority. You can buy the FuelBelt at sporting goods stores for around $41. Click here to find one near you.
